Be careful of pedestalizing men. Elon is not someone to be trusted, and this is coming from a point of admission from myself. I used to think very highly of the man. But there are some big picture things that need to be considered. Let’s take a look.
Transhumanism
He talks out of both sides of his mouth; being against the Transhuman agenda yet he is the one pushing the Transhuman outcome more than any single individual on the planet.
He has Neuralink, the obvious initiative.
AI & Data
He has Twitter collecting language and behavior data from user activity on the platform — training his Grok AI. But he’s also getting data from the App existing on user’s phones, collecting all of that cross-app and geolocation data. He’s collecting video data from all of the podcasts and films that are being posted on the platform. He’s also collecting voice and behavior and conversational data from activity on Spaces.
Then he wants to make Twitter into an “everything app” by bringing commerce and money transmission licensure. That would allow for collecting economic (especially behavioral economic) activity from his users. Giving explicitly macro AND micro transaction data.
He’s also got Starlink collecting mass migratory and individual travel data with Starlink uplinks on top of online activity (obviously being an ISP) that reaches across the globe.
Meanwhile Tesla is collecting even more data on migration patterns and routines from the nation level down to the individual.
All of this is PERFECT for training LLM’s and actual AI’s. As well as mapping neural activity for improving his Neuralink product (as there is a theory that you can use society’s current advancement as a representation of how we think about the brain).
Then there’s the partnership between xAI and Palantir. The partnership states a desire to provide services to the financial industry. This may not seem like something potentially nefarious on the surface, but a little bit of thought takes one to a… questionable conclusion as to the incentives. Letting xAI and Palantir gain access to economic information on individuals and organizations gives them very intimate data on purchasing behavior. This kind of data allows for understanding of desires, motivations, affiliations, business practices, and opposition. Allowing for social engineering and steering of economic activity. Which is POWERFUL. Also meaning dangerous.
The Whole Pie
Taking all of these points into consideration makes Elon Musk’s projects the perfect alignment for pushing the transhumanist agenda.
Collect the data
Use the data to train LLM models
Create specialized Artificial Narrow Intelligence (h/t Divisive Content).
Use the specialized ANI to boost human capability.
Tie the ANI support into Neuralink interface.
Use ANI and Neuralink as augmentations to the human condition—think Cyberpunk 2077.
This will result in a future where individuals are choosing to lop-off aspects of their humanity to gain advantages over their human peers. Think daytraders hooked up with Neuralink that can process at the speed of a supercomputer. Think soldiers hooked up with prosthetics that are equipped with weaponry, like the new contacts that allow for IR imagery—just think of an eye implant that allows for eagle vision with thermal and night vision.
Then make all of these augmentations linked to Starlink. Intimate, real-time, 24/7 data acquisition and insight. This also provides an attack vector for hackers and coders, who will also be equally equipped.
Giving Elon a TERRIFYING amount of power now, but will continue to grow into the future. Aggressively.
I’m not saying you need to hate the guy, but you do need to ask questions about what such things can lead to.
Stay vigilant.
